The youth wrestling team is currently working on scheduling, and preparing for the upcoming season. There are many new and exciting things going on with the program. The Schedule already consists of many date for middle school, youth and beginner wrestler`s. Adam Flatt is TGA Triple Crown Winner... -

Adam Flatt won both Freestyle and Greco State Tournaments this weekend to add to his Folkstyle State title in March to become a Triple Crown Winner for 2010. Congrats on the hard work Adam!

MV Youth Wrestler Adam Flatt recently placed second in folkstyle, second in Freestyle and third in Greco Roman at the 2010 Georgia Games.

MV Youth send five to state tournament... -

Five MV youth wrestlers qualified for the Kids State Tournament in 2010. They are: Will Adams, Jake Adams Tristan Churco, Sam Ezell, and Tommy Moore. Congratulations to these guys and their success.

Winter Break Information -

Thursday 12/17/2009 - as usual from 6:30 til 8pm Sunday 12/20/2009- Mountain View Wrestle Around 1pm - 4pm, this is a great chance to get some wrestling in before the holiday`s. Please e-mail me and let me know if your son will be able to attend. With current events going on at the middle school my numbers have been down some and I am just trying to get an idea of who will be wrestling. Week of Dec 21st thru Dec 27th no practice after that I am going to find out when the wrestling room will be opened and when we can practice. If any 8th graders would like to go work out with the high school team let me know, I can get you there practice schedule and dates that you could attend. Tournament I am recommending for January Brookwood Invitational Tournament January 09, 2010 Sprayberry Beginners Tournament January 10, 2010 North Gwinnett Tournament January 16th, 2010 I am expecting to do another youth wrestle round sometime around the 23rd or the 30th at mountain view maybe even try and host a beginners tournament Northview Titan Classic February 06, 2010 Walnut Grove Tournament February 13, 2010

I just want to say way to go. I never expected that we would do so well so soon. The top three team`s were Collin`s Hill first, Peachtree Ridge second with Mountain View and North Gwinnett tied for third. Early on in the tournament we were winning matches everywhere and for the most part it continued throughout the night. There were rough patches but not due to lack of effort but because of inexperience. We are a new program and this is a great way to start. MV Youth practice will occur every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 to 8:00pm in the MV High School Wrestling room. On-going registration will occur at this time during practice.
