Dallas placed first at Southeast Regionals this past weekend in Freestyle at 119lbs. He also placed third in Greco Roman. Congratulations and keep up the good work!

Team finishes in 21st place at State Tournament... -

With only four wrestlers attending, the Bear wrestlers did well representing the school and themselves. Each won at least one match and Dallas Brown won 6 matches to place third.

Four headed to AAA State Tournament... -
2/17/2010
Four wrestlers finished in the top four of the 8AAA Area Tournament and will be competing in the AAA State Tournament this weekend at the Gwinnett Arena. Rashard Brown and Radu Roscot finished as champions. Dallas Brown and Thomas Adams both placed fourth. The team finished fifth overall out of ten team.

Bears finish in third place at Redskin Rumble... -

Varsity wrestled well this weekend by bringing home the program`s first trophy with a third place finish at the Social Circle Redskin Rumble. Rashard Brown, T. Adams and Radu Roscot earned the teams` first gold medals, while Dallas Brown and Zonta Laney placed second and Drake King finished 4th. Great weekend Bears!

The Varsity competed well at the 8AAA Area Duals. The team went 2-2 on the day defeating Stephens County and Franklin County.

Successful weekend of wrestling this weekend. Varsity finished with 6 wrestlers in the top6 at county meet. Dallas Brown 2nd, Rashard Brown 3rd, Radu Roscot 3rd. Team placed 9th of 18 teams.

Varsity at Brookwood Invitational... -

While only bringing 5 wrestlers to the Brookwood Invitational, we were able to maintain a top10 standing in the 17 team tournament. Congrats to Rashard Brown who finished in 2nd place and Dallas Brown finishing in third. Radu Roscot and Cameron Rylander finished 4-1 in the tournament.

The varsity finished 3-2 on the day at the Duluth Duals to finish in 4th place. Dallas Brown, Thomas Adams and Radu Roscot all went undefeated on the day.

Demonstration night on Wednesday, Nov. 18th... -

Demonstration will occur on Wednesday, Nov. 18th at 7pm. This will occur in the wrestling room. We will show various skills and technique used in wrestling. We will go over the basic rule of wrestling and how matches are conducted.

Wrestling conditioning and practices... -

Voluntary wrestling conditioning will start on October 26th, 2009 at 2:30pm in wrestling room. Wrestling practices will begin November, 2nd. Practices will run from 3-5pm. Wrestlers will have mandatory study hall from 2:25-2:50pm in room 1.003. Students will need a physical (using school physical form) and health insurance (which can be purchased through school) to begin conditioning.

FCA Camp... -

Thomas `T` Adams was our lone wrestler training and competing at the Fellowship of Christian Athletes wrestling camp this past week. There were over 270 wrestlers at the camp learning from some of the best clinicians in the country. Two clinicians were Olympic medalist, while all 5 were NCAA All-Americans. Thomas represented the team well while competing and we look forward to seeing his winning ways in the fall. In the photos section, there are photos from the FCA camp.

Welcome to the new home of the Mountain View Wrestling team. This site will be used in conjuction with the school website to provide information regarding the team and its progress through the season. We are excited about the beginning of a new wrestling program in Gwinnett County and look forward to establishing one of the premier programs in the state. We want the wrestlers to `EXPECT TO WIN` in our program. Please email me from the Staff/Coaches section to introduce you or your family if you plan on becoming a future Bear!
